Motorola’s first Android phone!

09/11/2009

I check the Motorola website.

My first impression is that the look of device, “MotoCLIQ” is good.
But not like iPhone, it is not sexy, but good.

The software looks fine, I was impressed with home screen app.
Actually, I’ve been thinking about that, these days…
Home screen shows major social media in one screen like twitter, facebook, myspace…

The operator is T-Mobile. I think T-Mobile likes Android.
The device will be available this fall, not a specific date yet.

XPCOM will no longer be supported as of Firefox 3.6.

If I want to write Firefox plugin, from now on I should use NPAPI.

Wow, another new OS from Google.
First time I hear this news, I was a little bit surprised, cause Android is still on-going.
We really, really hate Microsoft
More information is coming from Google Chrome Browser Site.

-Still under the development.
-It is also linux based like Android.
-The target is netbook, the design goals are fast & lightweight, so end user can use chrome browser in a few seconds after boot.
Hmm, later I can try this on my netbook, asus eee701.
-ARM, x86 chips are supported.
-Chrom is working as a platform, so web applications will run on top of that.
IMHO, application framework is similar to Palm Pre.
